tropical beer notes #13

Black Panther Stout 8% Cambodia.

Not so sure what Huey Newton or Stokely Carmichael would have made of this – don’t you think that cat is very, very similar to the jaguar which can be found on the bonnet of Danny Clark’s car? There is a serious clash of ideologies going on here.

Sadly, that’s where the complexity ends. This is strong and weak all at the same time, sweet malts and a touch ‘roasty’. I’ll give it 11/20. Buy it so you can bore your wife with tales of 60s radicalism.

Elijah Muhamed once told Malcolm X “Don’t condemn if you see a person has a dirty glass of water. Just show them the clean glass of water that you have. When they inspect it, you won’t have to say that yours is better’.

Had our 13th wedding anniversary and the wife showed up with a bottle of Stroh Rum.

I thought about including some Malcolm X somehow; I need to have a beer “by any means necessary” but just couldn’t make it work. I’m sending huge love to you and the Zsus for the big 13. I trust the rum is still doing the trick after all these years.

indeed! the powerful elixir is still at work.
what better way to celebrate 13 than with an 80% witches brew?
love backatcha and we are fully jealous of the travels.

    Hey Dodd,

We drove past Dodd St yesterday and it reminded me of how we miss you kids. We check in with your adventures (ps tell me about your feet-shaped shoes! are they good?) and think of you often.

    namaste and hugs

    xx
